Today on Mega man Maker we'll be playing "Don't Move" and automatic level that's wonderful. We end up going through a series of moments that egg us on the move but that would probably end our run so please don't move.
P.S. If you have an automatic level (that doesn't kill you) then send me the code, just let me know that it's an automatic level PLAY THE LEVEL ►Dont Move [ID: 209181] by SomeHuman |

Today on Mega Man Maker we'll be taking on 2 levels, "The Final Normal Parkour" and "Come Here Proto." I give you a quick summary of them, the Final Normal Parkour was disappointing and Come Here Proto was very good.
The Final Normal Parkour had you starting off as Proto Man doing some parkour things like jumping from platform to platform and shooting down a couple of enemies coming towards you. The two things I found odd and one of them disappointed me was a Hot Dog (the robot, not the hot dog, hotdog) and stopped your running pace. It wasn't a huge issue but something that took away from the parkour appeal. The disappointing one was at the end where all you had to do was shoot the Party Ball directly across from you to finish the stage, no parkouring at all to get there. Simply making you have to jump from platform to platform to reach an Energy Element in the top right corner would've improved the end a lot. Come Here Proto was one that surprised me and I will download and check out the level in entirety. As Proto Man you must run through a gauntlet of enemies (not enemy spamming which ruins levels) to reach Time Man. On the way you must fight through a rooftop, enter a fortress and ultimately make you way to Time Man which I will say I died at least 7 times. I don't know why, I just did. So that's it everyone, I recommend playing both levels even though the final normal parkour disappointed me. But I will absolute recommend playing Come Here Proto, you'll probably not be disappointed. Today on Mega Man Maker we'll be taking on another of Metallgeer's level, this time it's "The Centre of the Lost City." It was a good level until I found that the one thing that can keep level's playable is checkpoints to be given to you once you've completed a rather difficult section. This unfortunately was not the case as you'll see in the playthrough.
A quick sum up is that it is a good level and is playable but the most irritating aspect is of course the fact that once you get to a particular difficult area and fail you'll be sent back to the checkpoint which is particularly far from the area you died at. Adding to the fact, the next checkpoint is also far from the point at where you'll likely die making finishing the level more of a chore that it should be. A quick fix to make more people finish the level and give the upvotes that it should be getting would be to add a checkpoint to the area that I keep mentioning. With that said, I couldn't give it an upvote.. this time. I'll probably revisit the level if Metallgeer adds in a checkpoint, but as it stands now it's more than likely to put off people and have then quit before seeing the rest of the level, but if you want to check it out for yourself then the ID is down below but I don't recommend it. P.S. I like the last couple levels Metallgeer recommended and am going to try out the rest of his other ones too, so check back for more. Today on Mega Man Maker we have the Complex Training Workout inside Dr Lights Training Complex submitted to us by Tyler-Bot. As the name suggests this is a training level so nothing spectacular or outstanding except for the same level of quality that we saw Tyler-Bots last submission.
The danger level here isn't dangerous at all. The first section has you jumping over electricity but forgivingly so, since you'll just be teleported back to the start of the room. The second section has moving platforms that you'll need to jump to but just like the first section you'll be teleported back to the start. The final section assuming you managed to clear the easy jump prior will have you jumping over electricity again while making tight jumps. This is really the most dangerous part of the level and the one I died most at. Overall, once you get to the boss you should be accustomed timing jumps so you won't get hit by bullets and it should be an easy win. The only thing I would add would be a symbolic Yoku Block that appears when you take the teleporter to get the hidden E-Tank so that others don't automatically assume nothing is here so they jump down the pit. Also, for the boss room you could add Elec Beams or Green Force Beams at floor level to make sure no one hops off the Foot Holders prematurely. Otherwise, I would gladly recommend this to anyone PLAY THE LEVEL ►Dr Lights Training Complex [ID:198256] BY Tyler-Bot |

Today on Mega Man Maker we take on a Super Smash Bros. Level that wasn't a Super Smash Bros. level. Now if I was to rate this level I would probably give it a 3 out of 10 solely because 2 of the 3 teleporters led to a screen where hitting the victory balloons was astoundingly easy. Big CON.
The other reason is that the middle teleporter led to a boss room where you had two screens to manuever around the boss. That was the saving grace. Although I do question the need to have 2 health orbs in that room since you would be at full health upon entering. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it. Though if Shy-Reaper made teleporter 1 and 3 lead to challenge areas that spanned at least 3 screens then it would improve the level. Today on Mega Man Maker we take on a submitted level called Wilys Robot-Factory. This level had a ton of detail put into it so that made it mostly above the previous levels that I've been randomly playing lately so big plus.
The challenge was also here mainly because of the conveyor belts. Dodging while keeping yourself from falling to your doom made it challenging but fun. Finally, the boss fight had the challenge of keeping yourself on the platform while dodging Cut Man's Scissor and the random turret on the wall while not falling onto the green energy beams below. This made the boss fight challenging but not absurd bullet hell hard, refer to my first video "Expectation vs Reality" at 10:26. As for the cons, I got to say I didn't have any and that's coming from someone who prefers to not sugar coat the truth. I definitely recommend Wilys Robot-Factory and make sure to keep a look out because I have 10 more levels from Tyler-Bot coming soon. Today on Mega Man Maker we play as Bass for the first time and have a raging time. When I launched the game apparently it needed updating, little did I know there were multiple versions that were released, ahem, I thought we were still on 1.2.4 but we were suppose to be on 1.3.2 so yeah, I'm slow.
As a first timer playing Bass I have to say I'm solidly impressed as its different enough to feel like I'm playing a character who is not a clone. Now as for the level, it helped introduce me to learning how to properly play as Bass and so I would consider this an how to use Bass level. There were areas that were difficult, the first time through. The Boss is where the challenge really comes in as you don't have the same weapons that Mega Man could use so you're essentially stuck using his basic attack which amplifies the intensity since Crystal Man can shoot out 4 bullets at a time which ricochet off the walls as well as a linear bullet during the time the 4 bullets are active. We also managed to do a double KO! I'm serious when I say I raged, because I raged quite a bit during the playthrough. Should I recommend it? Yes, it is a great level for introducing you to Bass and you really should play it for the challenge. PLAY THE LEVEL ►Bass Infiltrates a Giree Factory [ID: 206133] by StoopClashing |

Today on Mega Man Maker we traverse the Magnetic Mountain. It was a terrible experience as we kept falling, so much falling. But to save you the lulz of my experience a ton of it was scrapped. What we were left with was the "almost hardest" journey we have gone on so far.
To put it another way, on our way to the boss we found magnets everywhere. But don't worry they weren't just tossed around randomly, but they were placed the making some jumps were more hard than others which made the level challenging-ish to complete. So to sum up to experience, I thought it was fun! I won't say this is the funnest level I've played (wait for the next set of videos coming up and you'll see why) but it still was fun enough and not overly chaotic to make me recommend this to you. Today on Mega Man Maker we take on the Stone Castle guarded by Jester Bots, Spiked Chains and other gun totting robots out to destroy Mega Man.
The one thing we need to ask ourselves whenever we play a Mega Man Maker level is, is it good? Well unfortunately, but fortunately at the same time, this wasn't outstanding but wasn't terrible. I mean have you watched the first episode? That was bad. No, this level falls somewhere in between but skewed closer to being good. Good job, but needs improvement. Today on Mega Man Maker we take on a short but long level called "4 the Stranded Ship." Is it good? Yeah, but it was long, probably because I got soft blocked due to my crazy spamming of weapons, my bad. We also took a look at the level in creator and found a few spots where an improvement could be made like adding in a challenging shortcut to the boss, because of the second boss door that was in the boss room.

Today on Mega Man Maker we take on Knight Man in Hammer 1. This level had a special spot that in my opinion couldn't be reached and if you somehow did, you would instantly die. Definite a troll if I ever saw one. We also managed to lose against Knight Man after beating him in the funniest way.

Today on Mega Man Maker we have to decide.. "is Mega Man the Hero of Time?" or not. Well unfortunately we know Link is the hero of time so that's probably not going to happen, but whatever, we can at least try right?

Today on Mega Man Maker we have a triple showing. First up is the Beggining Part 1 which wasn't anything to be really proud of, next was Tower Trouble. That one was better but still couldn't manage to give it a thumbs up and Rock and Space which was the best of the three but had the same problems I've been noticing about levels recently, strong and fun beginning and middles, but not so much at the end.
That said I recommend playing Rock and Space out of three, but tower trouble still was worth checking out. The Beggining? Don't bother. PLAY THE LEVEL ►The Beggining Part 1 [CODE: 198760] by Shogunyan88 ►Tower Trouble [CODE: 198762] by Spagdots ►Rock and Space [CODE: 198758] by Brenno Sa |

Today on Mega Man Maker we're learning to tornado hop. This is the same as shell jumping in Super Mario Maker so it looks and feels pretty awesome.
Using a combination of keydoors and tornado hops to finish the first section of the level was fun, the second part was much more difficult. The video showed that it took me a few tries but in reality it took much, much longer. Play the level please, UltimateLink2000 made a good level and trust me when I say, your Tornado Hopping skills will get much better after this. Don't you love it when a level has paths? Well I really do! Especially when the level overall is pretty fun. From spikes to glitching to spikes to stupid mistakes I had a blast playing this. And I'm sure you will too so make sure you check it out!

Today in Mega Man Maker 1.2.4 we enter a Super Mario, Mega Man Maker World 1-2 recreation. And as you can see from the thumbnail it holds true to the overall level design and in fact it is not only world 1-2 it is World 1-1 to World 1-8 where we fight a Bowser-like Boss. This level was really cool and I almost never finished it, good thing I checked.

Today on Mega Man Maker, we find a level and think to ourselves, "what makes this a fun level?" Is it the monstrous amount of spikes? Is it the quick pacing? Is it the implementation of mega man features around the level? Well, today, we're going to find out.

When I read the name of the level I was like cool, they probably blew up the title screen and made a level around it. That really wasn't the case, it was quite linear and boring to say the least, but let's not say it was a bad level. It was good, just not exciting enough to make me want to come back. Your mileage may vary.

Because the first level was short and I mean a couple seconds short I added in another video, this one longer but not overly long. The first level featured Bug Man and a glitch that was seriously cool, weird and downright what the hell because of me using 3 Mega Men! It was awesome!
The second level was great too. The only gripe was that Powerman 360 made the level look like it had secret pathways! Unfortunately that wasn't the case and you'll see my stupid attempts at trying to find some. If there are any levels you've found that are truly decent then leave those codes in comments below! When I saw the title of the level: Trouble in the Sewers I really thought I might see the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Don't ask me why, but I just did. Obviously it never happened but I fought the boss who has a seriously overpowered butt.
No joke, it's butt alone took away a ton of my health in one shot. Seriously, overpowered. ►Trouble in the Sewers [Code: 193811] by MEGAXZ Note to Solarplanc, I hate you because of what happened at the teleporter.. just kidding, it was a nice touch. |

So.. wind tunnels (hate them) and platforms (semi-hate them). This time we found three levels. One which involved literal wind tunnels and platforms of doom, a super short level that had an actual good background transition between screens & one other than quite literally fun because it had some neat elements to its "race".
|
|
Another batch of good levels come our way with a bouncing robot to give us something fun to laugh at. Also Rush lives up to his name by "rushing" away from us while we fall to our death.
|
|
With the last video forcing us to play bad levels (minus one) we have
hit the jackpot with a batch of four great levels with good level design to even out the pain! I'm so glad we decided to give it another shot. |
|
The title says it all, I expected better. Thats not to say this game is terrible, far from it. But the way the levels are created (mostly) are either simplistic to the point that your essentially in god mode or absolutely difficult because of enemy spamming.
Out of the four levels I tried: 2 made me sad, 1 was great until I reached the Boss room & the final level wasn't outstanding but had the best platforming & true to form Mega Man style of gameplay. I may or may not do anymore levels, I didn't really enjoy this run. But if I manage to find some good levels or make some levels I'll upload them here & on youtube. |
